History of Model UN

2014: WIMUN From 30th June – 4th July 2014, SIOI UNA-Italy in partnership with the World Federation of United Nations Associations (WFUNA) and with MSOI-UNYA Italy, has hosted and organized the 2014 Model United Nations. Over 700 students have been involved in the simulation held at FAO Headqaurters in Rome, debating on the Post-2015 Sustainable Development Agenda topics in the General Assembly.

Special Committee CFS (Committee on World Food Security):
Strengthening resilience of farming systems and food supplies to climate change.

2013: ROMUN2013 took place from 5th to 9th November 2013 at SIOI Headquarters. Opening Ceremony has been held at the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs

2012: ROMUN2012 occurred from 21st – 25th November 2012. Opening and closing ceremonies have been hosted by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs while the ordinary sessions took place at SIOI Headquarters.

2010: ROMUN2010 has been held from 6th to 9th April 2010 at FAO Headquarters

The policy of family planning : social and political aspects and the role that United Nations may play in this delicate matter.

IAEA:
The proposal to implement and strengthen the Treaty of Non Proliferation, (in prevision of its possible modification in the next years).

UNDP:
Renowable resources, water supply and renewable waters.

2005: ROMUN2015 made the scene from 18th to 21st January 2005. The Opening Ceremony has been held at Camera dei Deputati while the Conference sessions have been hosted by FAO Headquarters.
